Medical researchers have obtained promising results from a trial of a genetically-engineered allergy vaccine.

During the trial, conducted in Austria, Sweden and France, the vaccine significantly reduced peoples' allergic response to pollen.

I'm already doing the allergy shots thing, which works well so long as I remember to stay on schedule. What are allergy shots?. Basically it's just an increasing amount of the actual allergen, in a serum, that you get in a shot to train your body to have a normal immune response to the allergen. More info here.
