Olympic Trials in San Marcos
24 January 2008, 4:59 PM

This probably isn't big news in wherever your neck of the woods is, but the 2008 Olympic Whitewater Team Trails Qualifier will be held in San Marcos, at the Rio Vista Falls. Some of the best river and whitewater racers in the country will be coming to Rio Vista Park in San Marcos, Texas, Sunday, February 17th. The top three placing finishers in each of four categories will go on to compete in the Olympic Team Trials April 26-28th in Charlotte North Carolina.

To me, the cool thing is that I've paddled down this river myself, and my town has earned the title of an " official USA Canoe and Kayak Winter Training Site".
