Tsunami clue to 'Atlantis' found

A submerged island that could be the source of the Atlantis myth was hit by a large earthquake and tsunami 12,000 years ago, a geologist has discovered.

Space record broken by Russian

The Russian cosmonaut Sergei Krikalev has broken the record for the most cumulative time in space - clocking up 748 days in orbit on Tuesday.

748 days. That's over 2 years.

Artist to recreate Afghan Buddhas

Afghanistan's famous Bamiyan Buddhas are due to be recreated by multicoloured laser images projected onto the cliffs where they once stood.
